Am vergangenen Samstag wurde in Hamburg die 2nd German No-Gi Championship ausgetragen. Es war ein Turnier nach IBJJF-Regelwerk. Die Concordia Judohalle war gut besucht. Viele Kämpfer meldeten sich zum Turnier an.

Der große Sieger war der Hamburger Mehmet Yüksel. Er siegte jeweils in seiner Gewichtsklasse unter 91,5kg und der offenen Klasse, beide in der Eliteklasse! Auch der Grapplers Quest Sieger Sascha Ernst holte sich in der Eliteklasse über 91,5kg den German No-Gi Champion Titel. "Das Training in Vegas hat mir sehr geholfen, besonders was Kraft und Ausdauertraining angeht. Bis jetzt hat mich jeder Trainingspartner auf meine verbesserte Körperspannung angesprochen. Eric Silva, Mikhael Knuttson, Vinny Magalhaes, RODRIGO ARTILHEIRO, Kyle Griffin und besonders Neil Melanson als Trainingspartners/coaches zu haben war meinem ganzen Game natürlich auch sehr zuträglich. Ich war für MMA da, aber nur Grappling gibt es noch mehr Möglichkeiten in sin city. Eines Tages mache ich dort ein reines Grapplingtrainingcamp", so Ernst nach seinem Turniersieg.

Die Berlinerin Charlotte von Baumgarten kämpfte wieder erfolgreich bei den Herren mit und sicherte sich den zweiten Platz in der Eliteklasse bis 73,5kg hinter dem Hamburger Jan Breuer und vor Robert Fiedler.
