Undefeated German welterweight Pascal Krauss will join outstanding Midwest camp Roufusport in preparation for his May 5 clash with Englishman John Hathaway at UFC on FOX 3. The Milwaukee-based gym is home to several great champions like U.S. Olympic wrestler and current Bellator welterweight title-holder Ben Askren, UFC middleweight contender Alan Belcher and former WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis.
Eponymous for one of the prime addresses in the U.S. for Muay Thai training is founder and head coach Duke Roufus. The 42-year-old champion coach can look back to a successful 15-year career in kickboxing himself. In his total 45 bouts he captured the super heavyweight world titles in six different organizations and fought K-1 legends like Andy Hug, Mike Bernardo and Stefan Leko.
"Roufusport is one of the premier addresses for any mixed martial artist, not only in the U.S., but worldwide", "Panzer" told Groundandpound.de. "My team and I had a close look at many different gyms stateside and we felt that the knowledge, dedication and work ethic of coach Duke and his team was second to none. I can't wait to start training alongside their many champions!"
Roufus is equally excited to add another promising up-and-comer to his already strong group of fighters: "I am very excited to start Pascal's training next week", Duke went on record. "All of us at Roufusport are looking forward to having him here and having him become a part of our family! Ben Askren is fighting April 6 and Alan Belcher is one the same card as Pascal, which will make for an intense training camp."
